WOW!!!!! We have a car!!!!

I can't believe it! We actually have a car!!! We decided that here at DTR we would go racing 3 years ago! Then life happened, we grew our family, weathered a lay off, and now things are back to good and we are getting it together! We had the motor and it was waiting on a car! We started our search at the new year, and man did it bring about lots of chaos! Everything was really up in price this year! (I say everything, meaning the lower classes). I guess the situation our economy is in, more and more are stepping down a class, just to still be able to run! So we found it harder to find a car in the price range we were willing to spend! We have had much talk about running at one track or the other! I really wasn't sure about the "other"other track........





So a couple of weeks ago, we stopped by there on a spur of the moment decision, while driving home! OH MY! I don't know what to say! THe facilities are nice, but it's a small track in size, and the car count was smaller!!! I coudln't believe it!!!! Below is a picture of the girls chilling out in the stands!

So new it was way likely for us to start at the "other" track! It really will be a great learning track! James will be able to learn to watch the flagman, watch the lights, and how to handle a car before crashing himself or others!

Lil E even wants to know why Daddy has a beat up race car! That girl is a mess!!!

We do have clean body for the car too! So we will be having to paint it and get it ready!

We do plan to stay with the original color scheme of black, purple, and light grey/ silver! I'm really really excited!!!!! James is like a kid in the largest candy store out there!!!!

2009 Season

2009, What a season!!!!!

Daddy was dealing with a lay off and pending relocation, so our race plans were at a stand still! But in the mean time, he spent the 2009 season helping a good friend of ours! She is a GREAT race car driver! And a wonderful God Loving Gal! Her and her hubby make one of the MOST awesome teams ever!!!!!!

She had a really hard year! Coming out with a beautiful brand new kick butt car, we all had really high hopes! And she did KICK A S S the night she won, but it was not the season anyone had wished for! And it wasn't anything she could do! It was one of those times, that she was in the wrong place at the wrong time deals, or was just taken out!

It was a cold cold night! But that didn't stop the girls from having some fun!!!!

One day this will all come together... Right now, we are waiting to see what comes of our relocation... Where are they going to send us (work)... without the unknowns in the near future being figured out, we can't make any plans... We will not buy a car and be ready to race in any area, until we know for sure... Would hate to decide one thing and then move and nothing near the area race the class and so on. Once it is all worked out, we will be getting all ready though!!! In reality it's not our timing, it's God's timing! In the mean time, Daddy has his truck ready to pull a race car trailer! And we are all enjoying watching for now!

Wee One's first time at the track!

Time really flies! All is well at DTR. Early Aug we took a trip out to the track, and Lil Daytona loved it! WOW O WOW. I have to say she is a natural! I think she could be as big of a fan as the rest of us! Then we sat home the rest of the season, as Lil E had her surgery and we didn't get back out.

We have decided with work time, family time and racing, we will stick with the original plan, and that is to go Legend racing! Plus this way we can go travel with them when we wish too.

Update

2008 ~

We have not forgot about racing or even changed our minds. We have had a lot of things going on. And the most important thing is that our family has grown. We have a new addition to our family. Lil E is now the proud big sister to Lil Daytona. (yes both racing names). It's in the blood. That is what took priority in our life.

Daddy got his truck, our crew truck! He is the proud owner of a Chevy 3500 Crew Cab. And let me tell you, Lil E thinks it's the coolest truck, and no longer likes mom's car.

Our plan is to purchase a car either at the end of this season or in the off season. Family comes first here at DTR!

We haven't even been out to the track to much, but we will be going really soon. Need to take Lil Daytona to her first race!

It's Starting to Look A lot like CHRISTMAS

Yes we have started decorating, and better yet, in the DTR's home, there is a Racing Tree topped with a Dale Earnhardt Bear!!!! There are cars, racing balls, Drivers, pit crew members, motor cycle, and even a few pool ornies on this tree, but it's mostly racing! Too cool!!! So even though it's off season it's still with us! Racing is truly in our blood!

Sept 2007

Can't believe the Season has come to an end! We spent our last weekend at the track with tons of friends! Fed Ex Freight made it a great night and we won some fans to go with us next year! Not a lot of has changed with our 2008 plans. The only thing we are deciding on before we move further is the class for us next year. Is it Legend Racing or will be it Limited Mods? We are thinking and gonna have to pray to our Crew Cheif, God, for the guidance we need on which class will it be!

For now we have decided on our name ~

How awesome!!! James and I started our Logo of DrtTrckRcng back in 2000 and have carried it as our signature names since! So we are thrilled to see it being put to use for real now!

And guess what? We have our first additional Official Team Member ~ Cracker Jack~ We have made a monster out of him for sure!! But we are going to have some fun for sure!
